I know most people will almost instantly choose productivity over any of the above options provided through the topic of the article. The truth is you can’t get to the productive zone without being busy in the first place. Busy is the first step. You can’t get creative doing less. You get creative doing something over and over again – Being busy! Creativity is what breeds productivity. You need to put an end to the lies you tell yourself. Many would say – “It’s not ok to just be busy, productivity is the key”. Look, anytime you find someone in a very busy state and they don’t appear productive , it simply means , they’re not busy enough! It’s almost impossible to hit the productive zone with less activity. This month/last month made me realize that there’s power in doing more (I will save the story for another day)! There are many things we are doing wrong – One of them is doing less and expecting a great result. If you’re not yet considered a professional or guru at what you do by the majority of people on the planet, you have no business with doing less and expecting a miracle! Get busy or go home – That’s the rule of the game now.
Have you ever paid close attention to the word “Business”? The word itself says – “Busy-ness” . You got that? To be in a lucrative business , requires you to be freaking busy! You’re not busy, your business shrinks. If your staffs in the office are having too much free time, your business is in deep trouble. If you’re having too much leisure period, it’s a serious indication that you’re in a terrible mess. You might not know it, but time will tell. Remember, an idle hand is the devil’s workshop. When I’m having too much leisure time, I know for sure that I’m slowing myself down. Get busy first, I mean really busy, then comes creativity, then comes the end result – Productivity! Quit ranting to yourself – “I’m after productivity” , get busy! If you’re not busy chasing your dreams , then you’re busy ruining it – Either ways , you’re busy! Right? Get busy doing the right things.
Get so busy doing the things that would get you towards the attainment of your goals! Once again , creativity never appears when you do nothing. Productivity is only brought to life by doing that one thing countless times. Create a mission for yourself and get busy fulfilling that mission. Don’t back down until it’s done. It’s that simple! Don’t worry about creativity or productivity, just simply do one thing – Get Busy!!!
