The Problem With Being Smart!

By : MR MIH

Over the years , more than enough people have told me that I’m smart. Today, I look at myself and say – “I’m driven!”. On a personal note, I’m not interested in being smart or playing smart, I’m interested in building a future that is super bright.

I’ve mingled with a lot of people. Read a couple of books about failure and success , made countless (personal) moves to create something beautiful, plus I’ve read countless articles on success and motivation. The truth is – Being smart isn’t enough for success in any field! Smart people receive their glory among friends and probably within the four walls of their school. In fact, having straight “A’s” isn’t dependent on being smart. I’ve met enough academic gurus but the number one trait I notice in them that seperates them from the pack, isn’t the “smart gene”, I see a burning COMMITMENT. Being smart is overrated. I see people try to act “smart”, which is not a sin , but I want you to see yourself beyond the smart trap.

People who act smart are simply those who are insecure with what they know. You don’t need to act smart, you need results – Focus on that. The people who act like they’re smart, support their beliefs with ego. What do you need to hit success in any field? COURAGE, COMMITMENT, DRIVE , THICK-SKIN, DISCIPLINE, and EXECUTION. Smart ain’t one of them and will never be. Being Smart won’t fulfill you. Helping others will . Drop the “Smart” title and go do something SIGNIFICANT with your potential!
