Few days ago, I attended a leadership training program. It was sensational!Today, I want to talk to you about the top three universal traits of genuine leaders.
If you can’t find these three traits in any leader you know – You have a fake leader. Ready?
Here we go :
- Great listener plus communicator – I’ve talked about this times without number in my previous articles. A great leader must be willing to listen to other people’s opinions and at the same time be super excellent at communicating. Genuine leaders have an effortless ability to grasp your complete attention when talking.
- Transparent – True leaders have nothing to hide from their followers. Because of their transparency, it’s so easy for their followers to trust them, believe in their vision and follow them. Just because someone is cunning doesn’t mean they’ll make a great leader. Playing smart doesn’t build trust. Transparency does.
- Tough spirit – This very moment, I want you to think of a great leader you know or have read about. Do you remember them being a sissy or being a coward? The great leaders have a spirit so strong that it is so contagious. When they are hitting bottom rock, their “Fight” mentality steps on stage for all to see. Great leaders are people that NEVER quit. They get punched in the face, they experience rejection, they experience pain BUT they never quit!!
I don’t need to talk too much here. A wise man once said ;
