Why You Need To Celebrate Other People’s Success Or Wins.

This is my first article this month. Thus, happy new month!

Today, I want to talk to you about the importance of celebrating other people’s victories!

Yesterday, a friend of mine revealed to me that he made Forbes Africa under 30 list.

You have no idea what that did to me. I was so INSPIRED. As a matter of fact, I am still INSPIRED.

That NEWS woke me up to a lot of possibilities! It actually expanded my think!

Growing up as a kid, what I learned from my mum was her genuine ability to celebrate her friends when they won.

She was super genuine about celebrating her friend’s victories.

As a kid, I thought this was normal UNTIL I grew up.

I realized the society We live in today is built on thinking narrow – In terms of scarcity!

The society we live in today makes us think celebrating other people’s win is a bad thing.

The school system is designed to make us compete.

This has ultimately damaged the spirit of support or collaboration in most individuals.

Without a doubt, the society we live in today has been fed with so much negativity that celebrating other people’s victory seems odd.

Celebrating other people’s success should become a culture.

Success is NOT limited to one person or thing. Success is everywhere – If you open your eyes.

Most individuals have been brainwashed to think narrow.

They think selfish, competitive INSTEAD of thinking in terms of abundance, possibilities and collaboration.

Almost everyone I know is like – “Go and do your own”.

Look, jealousy is mental dirt or disease.

It denies you the freedom to see success as something that is abundant.

In today’s world, everyone wants to be at the center stage.

Everyone wants to be the king.

Everyone wants to the main act. Everyone wants to be a star. Everyone wants to be the leader.

A wise man once said ; “If you’re not a leader, try to be an intelligent follower”.

Why I Want My Friends To Win.

Beef, hate, jealousy, spite, self-centered mentality ; These are all traits of flat losers.

Winners on the other hand aren’t worried about celebrating the victories of others.

Look, greatness is in everyone. When you see someone win, instead of feeling jealous, why NOT get inspired?

In my universe, I want my friends to win cos it forces me to level up.

When my friends win, it freaking opens my eyes to the possibilities around me.

It literally INSPIRES me to up my game.

Look, celebrating other people’s win won’t prevent yours from happening.

You need to change your think.

As a matter of fact, if you don’t celebrate other people’s success, no one would celebrate you when you win.

By the way, you won’t win if you hate or fail to acknowledge other people’s win.

Winning ain’t easy. If you hate on success, how can you have what you hate on?

Brad Lea once said ; “Don’t get jealous, get inspired!”
