Yesterday, the world lost a legend – Kobe Bryant.
This is a painful reminder to everyone that life is so short and death comes without any warning or signal.
Earlier today, I Googled the name – Kobe Bryant and one of the first things I saw was this ;
” Kobe Bryant (August 23, 1978 – January 26, 2020)…”
Did you notice anything there? Well, that was simply the day/date Kobe Bryant was born, and the day He died AND there was an in-between.
The “in-between” ( 41 years actually) – The life He lived is what’s left to be said about him.
What’ll be said about you? Without a doubt, he’s going to be remembered.
When you die, will you be remembered? Would anyone even know you exist?
Death is the unexpected. It pops out from nowhere and breaks the heart.
While you’re still breathing, you have to by all means live it intentionally.
You don’t want to get too serious. You don’t want to get too flaky and this is not a “balance” thing. This is a PURPOSE thing.
When you get clear about your mission on planet earth, that’ll be the ultimate guide to how you’re going to live your life.
How you live your life is what’s going to be said about you when you are gone.
Life is short. Unexpected things happen on this planet. Thus, focus on what you can control. Give life your best shot.
Make sure you win. Help people. One step at a time. Keep doing. Don’t quit. Leave a great legacy.
Let’s wrap this up with a great quote from Kobe Bryant :
“When we are saying this cannot be accomplished, this cannot be done, then we are short-changing ourselves. My brain, it cannot process failure. It will not process failure. Because if I have to sit there and face myself and tell myself, ‘You’re a failure,’ I think that is a worse, that is almost worse than death.”
How will you be remembered?
