Majority of Africans would refer to the Superior Being as their backbone.
We’re quite very religious in this part of the world but not necessarily God-fearing.
Oops! I’m not here to preach. Let’s roll up straight to what the above topic implies.
Your backbone is literally your mentor. Who’s your mentor?
Moreover, your backbone could be someone in your circle who’s constantly with the belief that you can be more.
Your backbone could be that person who wants to genuinely see you succeed (Very rare to find) .
I can be that guy for you. I want my friends to win. If they win, I win. That’s the mindset. Connect with me HERE.
I’ve been that guy to most of my friends. Most of them don’t even realize it.
Anyways, I ain’t bragging. Just letting you know exactly the way it is.
On your path to getting what you want, you’ll be faced with tremendous amount of rejection and disappointments.
The last thing you want on your radar is a parasite.
I lay emphasis on the word “parasite” cos that’s exactly what you’ll find out there most of the time.
People who want to take from you and refuse to be of any value. People who feel ridiculously entitled. People who smile to your face and end up being a snitch.
This is often times the reason why the most successful people at the top have very few close friends. Often times none.
“It’s better to be alone than in bad company” – Anonymous. “Eagles fly alone” is what they say.
If the influence around you is not supportive or making you better, it’s time to change the switch.
You literally have to be selfish about becoming a better individual cos if you can’t take care of yourself, you can’t take of anybody – Not even the ones you love. Is that what you want?
Look, you need a backbone. Someone who’s a sure bet. Someone you can count on. And if you can’t find any, you have to stand up for yourself and man up.
Have a great week!
