Over the last 15 years of my life, I’ve been ridiculously curious about what separates the rich from the poor.
They both live under the same cloud and sometimes in the same environment.
If you look around enough, you’ll find many rich and poor people that grew up in the same circumstance or neighborhood.
Most of the rich people you see today on Forbes list actually had it worse.
Funniest part? Some of this rich folks don’t even work as hard as the poor people do.
You may wonder ; What makes the difference?
Is there a secret sauce?
Like I stated earlier, I’ve been curious about this for a VERY long time.
At last, I found an answer.
You may not agree with me on this, but here’s a list of the two major things that separates the rich from the poor ;
1. Opportunity : Many of the rich people out there seem to have opportunities gushing at them from different angles.
They are usually opportune to have access to information, people or resources that you and I may NOT have access to.
Is that an excuse for being poor? Not at all. Spitting facts right here, right now.
You see, the rich have this access (To opportunities) because they position themselves WHERE they can find one.
They network.
They are willing to spend to have access to certain information, people or resources.
On the other hand, the poor man wants everything to be free.
If you think about it, we seldom value free things.
We tend to value what we sweat for, work for and pay for.
The poor man barely has any opportunity thrown at him.
As a result of this, the poor man has a defense mechanism – Complaining.
To move from where you are to where you want to be, you don’t have to wait on opportunities.
You HAVE to create them.
Throw yourself out there.
Opportunity won’t come knock on your door.
2. What You Do With Opportunity :
The rich are selective with opportunities BECAUSE they have a lot of options.
Money gives you options and control.
When the rich find an opportunity worth seizing, they go at it aggressively – They put their money and action where their mouth is.
They DON’T waste time.
The poor on the other hand hardly recognizes an opportunity because they’re busy manufacturing complaints.
When they finally find an opportunity “suitable” for them, they go at it with fear INSTEAD of faith.
The rich seize opportunity with faith and speed.
These are the two simple things that separates the rich from the poor. They sound extremely simple but if you look at it with insight, you know this is nothing but the TRUTH.
CONCLUSION :
Two simple things that separates the rich from the poor ;
1. Opportunity
2. What you do with opportunities.
Have a great week,
