My phone was dead!
He refused to talk.
I refused to speak.
Now, I’m getting pissed.
It’s getting weird.
It’s becoming uncomfortable.
I’m now disgusted.
What can I do?
There’s no way to go.
We were at the middle of a wedding ceremony.
Standing up now would be a distraction.
Now, I’m tapping my feet uncontrollably.
This guy doesn’t seem to want to talk.
Every table at the event was lively.
My head is starting to ache.
I got tired of the silence and spewed out ;
“What’s your name?”
I carried the conversation in the beginning.
I ended up getting tired of listening to him speak.
It was frustrating in the beginning.
In the end, we became friends.
The point of that story is this ;
Sometimes, you don’t have to start with being the listener.
Sometimes, you have to start with being the talker and unconsciously switch positions later.
Sometimes, you have to be the one to spark the conversation.
What if the person seems uninterested in your “small talk”?
Shut up and walk away or mind your business.
Never force vibes.
It’s not pride. It’s self-respect.
Lead from the front… And watch what happens.
Leading from the front is as simple as saying “hi” first.
Lead or be lead. Whichever way, pay attention and remember ;
To be interesting, you have to first act interested in the other party – Mr Mih
